Delivery modes and typical transit times

ModeTypical transit timeBest for
Air freight3–7 daysUrgent, light, high-value cargo where speed matters more than price per kilogram.
Rail freight14–18 daysFull-container and consolidated (LCL) cargo; a balance of speed and cost.
Road + railCalculated per routeCombined truck and rail transport: a compromise between speed and price.
Sea freight25–35 daysLarge and heavy batches when transit time is not critical; usually the lowest cost per kilogram.

Times are indicative and depend on route, season and customs clearance. The exact price and terms are fixed in the quote.

How the cost is calculated

The price depends on weight and volume, transport mode, route (city of origin in China and destination in Russia) and additional services. For light bulky cargo the chargeable weight is volumetric: 1 m³ = 167 kg for air freight and 1 m³ = 1 tonne for sea freight. Customs duties and VAT depend on the HS (TN VED) code and the invoice value of the goods. You can compare routes and customs payments in the online calculator.

Frequently asked questions

How long does delivery from China to Russia take?

It depends on the mode: sea freight typically takes 25–35 days, rail 14–18 days and air freight 3–7 days. Exact terms are calculated individually based on route and customs clearance.

How is the shipping cost calculated?

The cost depends on cargo weight and volume, transport mode, route and additional services. We apply the volumetric weight rule: 1 m³ = 167 kg for air freight and 1 m³ = 1 tonne for sea freight. The final price includes transportation, customs clearance and related costs.

Is there a minimum shipment size?

No. We handle small parcels from 1 kg as well as large industrial batches. Smaller cargo can be sent as consolidated (LCL) shipments, which significantly reduces the cost.

What documents are needed to ship cargo from China?

Typically a commercial invoice from the supplier, a packing list and the contract with the supplier. Our managers help prepare the full set of documents.

Can the cargo be insured?

Yes. Cargo insurance covers the whole transportation period and typically costs 0.5–1% of the cargo value, depending on the goods and route.

Can I track my shipment?

Yes. After dispatch you receive a tracking number, and managers keep you informed at each stage: loading, transit, customs and delivery to the warehouse.

What goods cannot be transported?

Weapons, drugs, explosives and radioactive materials are prohibited. Some categories (food, medicines, chemicals) require special permits — we advise on each case.
